The Week That Was: March 12, 2018 – March 18, 2018

Chipping away at the intertubes, one week at a time

A review of the past week’s mayhem from Rudy’s Ruminations.

Another week bites the dust, gentle reader(s)! Can you believe it? The excitement here in the Rudy’s Ruminations bunker is palpable because it’s time for another installment of “The Week That Was.” Here’s more of those nifty stats thingies for this week. And the week’s least egregious posts, as determined by you lovely reader(s). Go reader(s)! Go reader(s)!

And a spotlight for one of my beloved follower(s). Really, it’s more like a flashlight. With weak batteries. I’m very humbled. We really need to visit them. Like, right now. Skip down to the link and click it. It’s not that hard. Try it, you’ll like it. What else do you have to do right now? You’re reading this, aren’t you? I rest my case.

So let’s get started. Remember, the sooner we start the sooner we finish. I’m pretty sure that’s what we all want, to finish. So, follow me below the fold, for gosh sakes!

WeekChart-12Mar18-18Mar18Views

Views were way down this week. Like, slit your wrists, stop this insanity down. Down to just 44 views. I’m going to attribute that to my taking Monday off. All I posted on Monday was last week’s “The Week That Was.” Oh, and Friday, too. I didn’t post on Friday. Hmm. Note to self. Post it and they might come. If they’re not washing their hair.

Visitors

Visitors went to 32 this week, down from 56 last week. Fewer views, fewer visitors, that’s a disturbing trend. Maybe I need to reconsider the free pony thing. I still haven’t found a pony supplier.

Likes

Likes were down over last week as well. Only 34 people managed to click that little star. Again, I’m going with the “don’t take a day off” cause. Those posts I missed were awesome!

Comments

Comments? We don’t need no stinking comments! Although your comments are welcome. With writing like this, the only comment possible is “Yeah, what he said.” Or perhaps it was, “What did he just say?”

Posts

Here are the three most popular (I’m using that term loosely) posts for the week, as of publication time:

Words We Should Use More Often – March 13, 2018 – posted March 13, 2108 – 15 views

Throwback Thursday – March 15, 2018 – posted March 15, 2018 – 6 views

I Read the News Today. Oh Boy! – posted March 14, 2018 – 5 views

Followers

No new followers this week. Could be due to lack of shameless self-promotion. Maybe a dip in the Community Pool is in order. Here’s a pitch for one of my wonderful follower(s):

 ROBBO WORLDTRAVELLER – Robbo

-In his own words

“Robbo Worldtraveller tells stories of escape and a relentless desire to be lost to the perfect moment.”

He doesn’t need my pitch, but I’m planning to travel vicariously.

Well, that’s all folks! Move along now, nothing more to see here. Stop back next week for more arcane, esoteric and all-around useless information!

Until then, I bid you all a fond adieu, sans the little apostrophe, or whatever that thing is that the French are able to make on their keyboards that I never can. Happy blogging!

    1. Helps when you click the correct “Reply” icon. I meant to say (to you) . . .

Thanks for the advice! And for reading. I try to tag every post, but I’m sure they could be better. One trick I’ve used in the past is to search for tags and see if I like the posts that come back. Or use a tag that a post I like uses. No sense using a tag that nobody else uses.

Unfortunately, I said it in the main comment level.

      1. I’m usually every morning or evening (once a day) comment & like 50-100 posts …bcz 30% (usually no more) get back to read my posts too 😉 plus I use social media a lot (to share), but I never there 😂😂

      2. I don’t spend nearly enough time reading and commenting. Life seems to get in the way. And I need to do a better job on social, since it seems to be a driving force. The longest journey begins with a single step, though.
